Remnants.......

This is what was left after covering a humungus canvas 3x4 feet! ( the idea was to colour in the leaves and stickles it!) The fabric is from Ikea but I think it's quite old.... anyway I couldn't throw away the remnants... so..............

I made this!..
The leaves were ironed onto a heavyweight Vilene, stiched around in red and then cut out. You can see the poly ring didn't get used.. can anyone tell me of a neat way to cover these things because I can't find one! I just cut a large chipboard circle and covered it with the same fabric as the bird. The wreath measures around 30cms.. 1 foot across
I didn't like the red bird idea either so he ended up white!

Wow - your design is just adorable! So edgy & clean - and the red stitching just makes the black & white pop.

You asked for an idea about the foam ring that didn't get used: I used to make Christmas wreaths with long strips of fabric sewn similar to a window valance - with a "rod" pocket - and threaded onto the ring after I split it with a knife.

In this case, you could take strips of fabric and just wind them around the ring as if you were bandaging it, then use glue under the last one to hold.

I have yet to come across anything you've made that I don't drool over and wish I could make like you. Such talent. Love the little leaf wreath with the bird.
I look at things and see other ways to use it. That's no big thing as so many talented bloggers do the same all the time.
To me it's very curious how people can look at something and see it differently, do entirely different things with it. Art is wonderful.
