I Can't......

Remember the last time I made something for myself to wear (I was in the dim and distant past a dressmaker).I cut this pattern from a bought top..I'm such an odd shape that I'm never happy with the fit but this is OK. ( The next one will be better!)

I wish I was that shape...there's a lot of jiggery pokery going on around the back!

The fabric is a very lightweight cotton from Abakhan Fabrics....a few years ago!

This is lovely! Love the fabric!
I used to make things for myself too (when I was young)many a Friday night my other half would have to wait for me to add 'finishing touches' to my latest creation before going 'out on the town'. Ah oh to be young again!

Great top, love the big pattern on the fabric! I used to love Abakhan when I lived in Manchester (in fact, I was in there when the bomb went off!)

Wow I'm very impressed that you made the pattern yourself. I've been looking for something similar myself. I hope you enjoy wearing it, it looks wonderful not say unique :)

Great top and pattern and I love the necklace too. I am trying to get to grips with sewing again as I have acquired eldest daughter's sewing machine as she in Singapore for two years. Just need to find some tutorials to show me how to thread it etc. Not the same as my ancient hand me down singer.

So pretty! I own the exact same grey flower with the pearl centre. You've given me a wonderful new idea for how to wear it. Thanks for the creative inspiration!
