It's a block a month for nine... yes nine months. It's all needle turned applique, I may lose the will to live but I just had the urge to stitch something nice, to do some proper stitching and the little bird motif helped, though I must say my first attempt at the small birds wasn't so sucessful.....they looked like bananas!
Month one's hand stitching is complete, it does get a little easier the more you practice, there's a few mistakes on this months but that's life..I'm going for the shabby look!
Month two has just arrived!
If all goes to plan I'm going to hand quilt it too!

Looks pretty good to me - I wouldn't know where to start! Just think what a lovely creation you'll have in nine months!
Gail yur stitching is fabulous! It's a work of art so how can there be any 'mistakes' they are your own unique persona touches and you're making a family heirloom! Mary G x
