Pinned!

Sometime ago and from somewhere I aquired this pincushion, its pink plastic and the pins are stuck into a spiral of folded paper. It has the trademark Tayler's Newnita pincushion...I thought that looks easy to make ... so

with an empty cat food tin, one of the small ones, a bit of patterned paper, a strip of mini corugated card and a length of bobble trim.....

I made one. When you've rolled up the corugated card glue the end and then push up from underneath in the centre, keep in place with a little glue smeared on the underside.

stick it in the tin, add the trim and a bead on a long pin to cover the central hole.

There you have it... a neat little pincushion with no sewing!

I love your version, it's really beautiful! I think I'll borrow your idea, if you don't mind, and make one on a slightly smaller scale, in a jar lid. I could keep eye-pins in it, to save bending them, which happens a lot in their current storage.
