Sometime ago and from somewhere I aquired this pincushion, its pink plastic and the pins are stuck into a spiral of folded paper. It has the trademark Tayler's Newnita pincushion...I thought that looks easy to make ... so
with an empty cat food tin, one of the small ones, a bit of patterned paper, a strip of mini corugated card and a length of bobble trim.....

No sewing.... I love it but no cat got any spare tins?
What a VERY COOL idea.....love it:)
I prefer yours.
Love it! I have seen these old cushions before...yours is even nicer!
I love your version, it's really beautiful! I think I'll borrow your idea, if you don't mind, and make one on a slightly smaller scale, in a jar lid. I could keep eye-pins in it, to save bending them, which happens a lot in their current storage.
OMG that is seriously Fab!!
Fab idea Effie, love the design elements !
what a neat idea - and so useful too!
Hi Gail - wow, love your pincushion - another project to put on my 'to do' list! Mary G x
This is absolutely awesome! Thank you so very much for generously showing us how you made it. It's something I would like to do myself
What a brilliant idea! and so much better than the original,
