It's Not Turquoise!

... no it's purple! It makes a change. This is for a shabby page swap it measures 3x5 inches and the theme is texture. Texture isn't something that shows up well on pictures... well not on my pictures but it is there. There's some texture paste put through a dotty stencil, painted with purple acrylic paint and gold leaf added. The bottom is a piece of silk velvet stamped/embossed with Archival Gold Brilliance ink. To do this ink up your stamp and place face up, place the velvet over the top face down and press with a hot iron, this produces some great effects. There's a bit of dyed lace at the bottom too and not forgetting a piece of eyelash fibre....................I know you have some!

Lovley rich piece! I love velvet stamping and haven't done it for ages (craft applications are about the only times I get the iron out!) - thanks for the reminder!
