Another one...

done...the ladies from Quiltesk came for another visit. I've never made a quilt where the blocks are placed on point...that is diamond wise and the edges cut square..and I've never used these shades of blue before... scary business.
I'm still not sure about the linear quilting, I don't know if I like the stitching showing on the fabric but I wasn't about to take it all out.

I had to piece the back too... oddly enough I like the straight line stitching on the back.

All those bits that had to be cut off to square up the quilt...........that was tough going but I saved the bits and pieced these cushion covers, though they're not quite finished as yet.

think I need a little respite from the stitching.....now where's that glue stick!

Another lovely quilt. Wow! What do you do with them all? I think the cushions will be lovely too.

Oh my that looks complicated! I just have a thing about triangley shapes in quilts....not sure what it is but I prefer to stitch squares and rectangles. Maybe I'm just a coward! I rather like the zig zag quilting having said that!

Well done Effie. Looks like a lot of work went into this quilt but it's just stunning.
