Prayer....I'm taking part in a prayer flag swap, the deadline is the end of July.....where did the month go? I thought I had ages and consequently these were done in a bit of a panic...
edges torn... threads left hanging....no neat seams... all a bit traumatic for a neat freak but needs must. I hope the recipients like them...
They're made from a vintage linen pillowcase, dyed with Transfer dyes, stamped with Stazon, coloured with a red Promarker, bits of fabric and dyed lace and finished with a little hand stitching.

They certainly don't look rushed. I love them, hanging threads and all - and I'm sure the recipients will too.
These look lovely Effie and not rushed but rustic. What an unusual swap too.
Oooh they are lovely - they will be treasured I am sure!
I'm sure the recipient will love them, they look fabulous!
The are FANTASTIC - perfect - just the sort of thing that I adore. They are bright and make one feel really happy just looking at it.
What a fabulous take on the theme. I always think of the Monks who put up prayer flags on the montains and deciples and worshipers leave their messages for the sky god.
Rushed maybe ....... but gorgeous anyway !!
What a fab project, they look fantastic.
I love these. They're all gorgeous and if there are any threads hanging and seams rushed,it isn't obvious and just adds to the rustic feel!
These are gorgeous and I am sure they will adore them.
