.. Would have thought I'd be using glittery funky foam! but it cuts like a dream...

I used a deer (here we go again) from Memory Box

Tagged...

..When the mojo goes walkabout a great way of kick starting your creativity is making tags..they're small, quick and easy to do.If they don't turn out as you wanted them to then it's no great waste of time or materials....I've found it's no good labouring over something that's not as you would like it......just chuck it in the bin, have a cup of tea and start again...

I love beachy stuff and with this set of stamps from Crafty Individuals I made a couple of gift tags.

There's not much colouring... but then I'm not a great colourer inner!....( is that even a word.. or words?)
If not it/they should be!

Yesterday....

...I went to the beach...It's only a twenty minute drive....I went looking for sticks and stones but there weren't that many....
But I did find these....

Lots of crab shells....some complete with barnacles.

A fishing lure...

and lots of sea urchins...they are so fragile I'm surprised any remained whole...

Quite a collection...The sticks will be making an appearance in a project near you  in the not too distant future.....

Sticks And Stones!

how hard is it to find stones with holes in!...Hag stones I think they're called...

A little bit of paper clay and florists wire....
Just got to add some colour...

and a few bits and pieces.....like a pointy hat or a crown....and they may start to look like birds!

That Time Of Year.......

...for the annual beach combing walk.. this time we headed for South Gare... and just look at this beauty!

sadly we decided the huge fishing bouy wouldn't fit in the car so I made do with the usual piece of string and various bits of flotsam and jetsom.

and some stones.......

add some Maya Road rub-ons

Cute!

PS.... where else would you find 6 lemons, 2 onions , 6 wheels 4 butter tubs, a carton of milk and a bottle of washing up liquid..and sadly a carcass of a baby dolphin.

Beachcombing!

It's that time of year again......... the beach walk. The North East coast has lots of fossils, especially ammonites... the aim of the game is to see who can find the most complete one!

I don't know about most complete but DH (Dear Husband) found the biggest!......

My bestest friend couldn't make it this time....... the old bones were playing up!.. so DH came instead. It wasn't the same.. I don't think he entered into the spirit of the thing! Anyway this is what ended up on my piece of string!
These bits of driftwood will no doubt find their way into some project or other!

Friendship?

Most years, weather and time permitting my best friend of many years and I walk along the beach ( about 4 miles ) from here..........( where they filmed Attonement) To here.................. Along the way we play the 'Fetish' game. First find a piece of twine, any will do but there's always a bit of a competition to find the best colour or the longest piece. Then gather bits to add to your twine....... the only condition is that it must have a hole in it so it can hang from your string!....OK I cheated with the fish but he was too good not to pick up!...obviously the stranger the find the better!.......I can't tell you how much fun and hilarity this annual trek causes.

Here's my 'found' objects
And here's what I did with them..... they hang in my garden as a constant reminder of a great day!
Looking forward to the next outing This is a tribute to a long friendship, not a usual challenge piece for LTDO but I like it!
