More....

Stamps, theses have sat in a drawer unused for the best part of four weeks...time to try them out.

I looked on the Neat and Tangled blog for inspiration.

 

They had used a little bit of glitter 

All in all a versatile set of stamps.

Modern and fresh

Reminds me of Sanderson wallpaper.

Things on Sticks..

....Flowers to be exact..the stamp is from Woodware.It's stamped onto patterned paper..no need to colour!

The leaf is from an old Hero Arts set.

 They're cut out and then stuck onto sticks.. the kind you stir your coffee with!

Recycle....

...those clothing tags!.. some are just too good to throw away, one from Falmer and the other from Fat Face.
Crafty Individuals challenge for June is Tags and these just happened to be lying around on the desk..

So out came this set of stamps..

and a minimal amount of colouring in

I did add some glitter but didn't like it .so wiped it off

What ....

...Makes a great workshop for me is the ability to put my own spin on things...I don't want to do 'the paint by numbers' kind of thing. Claire from Molly Bloom came for the day and though cute isn't my thing I had a great day.She showed us a frame card...that was it .. I was up and running..

 I tweaked the instructions... now there's a shock!

..and can you tell I bought a new stamp set!

He's cute but in a good way.

and great for paper piecing... the lazy way to add colour!

Let There.....

be light.....a new stamp from Crafty Individuals, there's just something about light houses, it's such a great image...instead of a card I made a little bit of stuff using a piece of driftwood...It's simply stamped and layered...

 

Then stuck onto an old atlas page and using florists wire held in place on the wood.

 

The flags are made with washi tape folded over a piece of button twine....and no project is complete without text...

Strictly....

 ..come dancing!....well that's what it reminds me of...a lovely versatile stamp from Crafty Individuals
I'm thinking weddings, anniversaries... invitations, party, birthday....

 

This little plaque was made up from odd bits laying around on the desk... maybe you can tell but I quite like the mish mash of bits and pieces.

 

It Was....

...Love at first sight when I came across the illustrations from Alice Palace...I thought they would make fabulous rubber stamps ...
So taking a chance I emailed  and asked if she had thought about it, the answer was no but she was interested.... the upshot is she is now designing for  Crafty Individuals and I have them in my hot little hands.....

I am now delighted to say that I will be contributing to the Crafty Individuals blog as part of their team 

 

 

I thought I'd start with an altered book.. these are the covers, front and back. It's a small book around 15x10cm, I've ripped out about three quarters of the pages and will cover the rest with hand coloured papers.It will be an on going project so keep popping back to check on progress.. I'll be using Alice Palace stamps of course!

Playing Catch Up...

Yesterday was a productive day..... caught up with three swaps...
1 Postcard swap with the theme The Colours of Summer. 6x4"

2 Shabby Chic page swap with buttons for a theme. 5x3"

3 Mail Art swap, Coffee Cups and Circles... being in the UK I took a little artistic licence and drew ( drawed... drew?) tea cups! 41/2"x81/2"

Don't know who the recipient is yet hence the blank space.

...that's the challenge over on Gothic Arches for the next two weeks.....it would be great to have you play along.

That's the theme for a postcard swap I'm joining in this month....The stamp is by Danita and is available from 100%ProofPress, there's two more stamps, one of which you might see used in Craft Stamper sometime soon.

Save The Date.......

Last year I made these....this year I wanted something quick and easy.....you can't get easier than these. The measurements are there, just make sure your card is double sided and fairly substantial. I know when it's opened you might think the calendar is upside down but it looked neater with the edges unger the flap... great for little stocking fillers or craft fairs( which I'm frantically making stuff for!)
