Bottle Brush....

....Trees.. again!..I'm in love with these.
I made the pink one and the smaller green one is bought ( at great expense)

The snowman is made with a glass jar and a polystyrene ball, Snowtex and Glamour Dust

The nut cracker is in a deconstucted bird house!

with a natural tree.

This one is dyed and frosted with Glamour Dust

I'm working on some Putz style houses... with trees of course.

Sometimes....

...when you've got brain freeze you just want to make something without thinking...
I saw these cards on the Sizzix blog and thought they were cute..in a good way.

I embossed the card first with a snow design from StampinUp

and then pretty much followed the instructions.

easy peasy crafting

I Just Love...

... Snowtex! This snowman's head is simply a polystyrene ball covered in Snowtex and the sprinkled with Glamour dust. It's easy to apply. I dabbed it on using a paintbrush.
The body is a circle of velvet gathered and filled with rice. To attach the head a small dowel is pushed into the polystyrene ball, it's the glued into the neck of the gathered velvet.... after you've added the ruff.

A pointy hat completes his outfit.

For a fluffy look just apply the Snowtex with a palette knife.

I got mine from Oyster Stamps.... I have no connection with them... they were the cheapest and had it in stock... Free P&P didn't hurt either!

Getting Ready...

.. There's nothing like being prepared..getting stuff ready for Christmas craft fairs..
I bought this set of tartlet tins from TKMaxx..(love that shop) with the idea of making vintage decorations.

I covered the bottoms of the diamond ones with Snowtex.. a fab product. While it's still wet sprinkle with Glamour Dust for added sparkle.

A cotton ball, tinsel, paper and a few twigs...

and you have a snowman..

The heart shaped tins are a work in progress.
