Deely Boppers!

Or whatever you call them....these little bunnies were just that, now they're decorating the top of these little boxes.

The box is a Sizzix die...the Cookie Box, I think it's still available through Amazon

Cute!

One For The Boys..

...Some time ago we went to The Goodwood Festval of Speed..I bought two vintage toy cars..so
I made this....a little shrine... more of a box with a hole in it really! it measures around 15x15cm and is 4cm deep.  The aperture was cut with a Tim Holtz movers and shapers die ( I love those things...they are  so versatile)

the whole thing is decorated with these Pion papers from 3djean and
I used an old pencil for a handle

Bits And Pieces...

..Twice a year I head off into the Yorkshire dales for a long weekend crafting with seven other people..( I've just returned from trip number nine)...each time we have a theme, exchange handmade gifts and collaborate on several projects. November 2012 saw 'The Bit Box Swap'...

These are some of the bits I received

And this is what I made with them....a shadow box.

It's all about rabbit and hares for me at the moment!

If you would like a random bit box (an A4 envelope) then leave a comment and I'll pick a random winner this time next week.

Open The Box....

and let me out!  Here's another of those little cupboards, a bit different from the last one. The head is made from Paperclay with a stamped image of a face stuck on....
Want some little light bulbs like the one on his head and the top of the box ... then visit you local Pound shop and buy a set of 6 car replacement bulbs... for yes a pound!
The wheels are made from a giant ribbon reel...the drawer front is cut from an old ruler and a bit of bling added.
I may make some more of these....project 648!

Bug In A Box!

Insects......makes you itch just thinking about them! That's Take a Word's theme this week, insects not itching!

Here's my bug in a box... a pretty little butterfly ( That's something we did as children, catching them and putting them in boxes or jars.... not very PC now!)

The papers are from 7 Gypsies, the Conservatory range.

If you would like this little box just say so in your comment with contact details.

A Work in Progress!

It was the monthy meeting of Efemera Ink on Monday and we made these..... as I had already made the seaside one as a sample I wanted to make something different.........and as I stuck my shelves in the wrong way ( a happy accident as it turned out!). I thought I'd do it portrait instead and have a bird theme.
I decided to go the vintage botanical, specimen kind of route

I needed a short word to fit the space but wanted chunky so I made my own printers blocks..

Take a sheet of Mr Tim's letters, cut out and cut six or seven pieces of chipboard the same size...glue them all together and cover the remaining sides with patterned paper........

Instant printers blocks!

The paper is 7 Gypsies Conservatory.....
Finished project appearing soon!

Missing....

The Muse has gone walkabout and I know not where!...hopefully she'll be back soon.
but luckily this is something I made earlier as a sample for EfemeraInk.......which meets at the end of this month. Ater six years it's getting increasingly difficult to come up with new ideas every month especially when you have brain freeze!
but these cheap and easy to construct with chipboard, glue and a bit of paper which is good because we have about twelve people in the group. It measures about 10x12"

The stamps and paper are from Crafty Individuals.
Except my favourite banner stamp....that's Hero Arts.

I used bits and pieces from previous beach combing forays.....the shell wasn't the right colour so out came the Promarkers!

... we ate the lobster!
