As Promised...

How to make your own bottle brush trees...
You will need some string or rope... the natural sisal kind, a piece of wire bent in half.
cut the rope or string into lengths...the length determines the width of your tree, pull the fibres apart

fix a hook into the end of a hand drill.

Place the fibres between the wire, place the two ends in a vice... or get someone else to hold the ends in some pliers...hook the looped end and wind the drill

when it's tight the wire will probably snap.. that's OK

Trim any extra wire from the top

Shape the tree with scissors.

The result....

The trees below have been dyed with Dylusions spray inks and then rinsed for a paler effect.

I rolled them in PVA glue and dipped them in Glamour dust...
If you make some leave a link so I can come and see!

Kittens... Mittens....

...a friend gave me a Maya Road chipboard mitten book, I never got around to making up the book so I've used the pages and made tree decorations. This one used Pion papers and images from 3djean

This one used the very last bits of Make it Merry from October Afternoon.

One shape... two very different styles.

Vintage?....

...or Retro?.. whichever it is I love it. I love the colours, the clean graphic images, just everything about it. I love how it's cute without being ickky cute.

A friend bought me this Kaisercraft Advent calendar some time ago, it took a while to find a paper range I wanted to use.

Then I found Make it Merry from October Afternoon... it's an oldie but the number sheet was perfect for the little drawers The sparkly deer came from The Pound Shop..

There were quite a few bits leftover so I made cards..I'm still in clag it all on mode...

I can't remember where the reindeer stamp came from...

All Hung Up!

I maybe reunited but it's tough going.........the creative spirit is still walkabout so I'm keeping it simple....I'm making card hangers, nice and easy, a bit of paper, pegs, string and a Sizzix shape..

This one uses the small Sizzix star and Christmas Cheer paper from K&Co. A traditional look.

A bit more funky is Peppermint Twist, I love those deer! so retro!
I'm waiting for some A4 cello bags to arrive and then they will be packaged with a card topper..don't know if that's the right word but a folded piece of card with a description printed on!
