Not Quite....

.....on schedule with the photo thing... my Pogo is on it's way and I wanted to start as I mean to go on.... so in the meantime here's a few cards...I'm still struggling with getting into the crafting zone but I'll get there!

I really need to get some more of these glittery plastic leaves... I love them, they're neither gold nor silver and look very vintage. I got them from someone at a Ross Papercraft show... for the grand some of £1

All Aboard!

This might look familiar to some of you...it's a project I made for Craft Stamper some time ago.I don't usually get my stuff back (my choice, I'm drowning in stuff!) but this came sailing home.
It's got wheels....and bunnies (the stamp is from Zettiology) The boat is made from half a papier mache egg. The glass glitter is a lovely lemon colour... just plain old silver coloured with alcohol ink.

And isn't the number 42 supposed to be the answer to everything...........

Stash Buster

Over on UKStampers there's a stash buster competition.....this time around the theme is Glitter, use as much as you can! There's a ton of it in my craft space and it's not something I use that often, so.....
with two cotton balls, a bit of wire, an old building block and whole load of glitter.......

and a crown (from HobbyCraft)......

a googly eye or two!

.........I've run out of pictures!.. there's no birdie illustrations left in the book so rather than have mismatched pages ( there's the control thing again!) I'm stopping at four pages, I'll use the other two for something else.

It's an age since I've done The Three Muses challenge but thier theme this week is Nature's Creatures and I think this little birdie could be one of them.

Shabby Chic?

Santa (Jean) brought me a lovely Maya Road birdcage chipboard book. I wanted to do something a little different and try to use mainly white.It's so difficult trying to get down on paper what you see in your head!

I started by covering evrything in gesso... this one is really rough, not what I wanted! I then randomly stuck on pieces of paper and card... and I mean random! and then more gesso. To get rid of the rough feel I sanded the surfaces.

Shabby chic? what better than vintage glass glitter.. I love that stuff ( I may have mentioned that before)
I had some gorgeous blue from 3djean. I rummaged through the stash for other vintage bits but had to go shopping and buy some of This from The Ribbon Girl it's soft and already vintage looking.

I cut bits from an old story book and knocked back the stark black print with more gesso, added a little colour with Distress inks.

Used my favourite scallop stamp (Sassafrass Lass) around the edge. More glitter!

Three pages done ... three more to go!

What A........

Pear!. I don't know what it is about fabric pears but I've always wanted to make one and never got around to it. I saw this one here and I just had to make one! I wanted a vintage look so I rummaged through the pile of old linen and found an old pillow case.



A few leaves were made from book pages and ..... yes florists wire and dipped in glass glitter... this stuff just looks so vintage.

Some bits of recycled jewellery and scraps of fabric were secured with a lovely pearl pin. I'm sure this won't be the last one I make.... they're just the right size and shape for all kinds of fabrics and embellishments.

Ltdo has Your Favourite Technique for it's theme this week....... it's stretching the theme a little but but flavour of the month fo me is real glass glitter..... fab stuff
