... This month at EfemeraInk we made dream catchers...with embriodery hoops and vintage doilies..

The center is coloured with a copic pen.

The feathers are cut with a Tim Holtz die and then embossed.

Lots of random beads.

A bit of gold embroidery thread is woven through the doily

The center is a ready made rose from Cosmo Cricket...it's old!

I knew it would be used for something someday!

Pegged!

...how to make a peg wreath...draw a 24cm diameter circle on chipboard, draw another 18cm diameter circle within the first... cut out and cover with patterned paper... I used kraft.

Cut a motif to hang in the middle... Tim Holtz layered snowflake.

Arrange 24 pegs evenly around the circle... glue in place.

Add your decorations... I used a sheet of Elle's Studio Noel collection paper and punched out the numbers.Some were glued to the pegs and others fixed with foam pads.

it would work with small rosettes

Peony or Anenome?

...either way difficult to spell but easy to make...

 

 

I used the Tim Holtz tattered Flowers die and this double sided patterned paper...from 3djean...and at  70p a sheet it won't break the bank.Cut 4 in the large flower for the top, 4 smaller flowers for the centre and 4 large flowers for the lower layer in a contrast patterned paper

Fold each flower in half and then quarters... use a hot glue gun to glue together, this is quicker than using wet glue (if you use wet glue use a peg to hold until dry).

You may have to tear some petals to make them lie flat...Curl your petals

 

Punch a circle... glue one set of four flowers to the circle. Glue the smaller flowers inside this set of four.Turn the flower upside down and glue the contrast flowers to the circle..the petals should curl in the opposite direction.

 

 

Make a hole in the centre... push a piece of florists wire through, bend the end.

 

Secure with hot glue and add a flat back gem..

 

Peony or anenome.... you decide.

Two Little.....

blue birds........... sitting on a bit of driftwood., made of paperclay with paper hats.

The flowers are from a broken (on purpose!) bracelet.

I can stop boring you with these tags, they're all done! I couldn't stop halfway through.

This is one very sinister looking snowman!

Two For One

Only three to go and then I can do something else.... I have to finish one thing before I start another....

I din't have any vintage tinsel but I found some really cheap and nasty ribbon so I unravelled it and twisted it, I think it looks OK.

A little more artistic licence taken with this one........

but I do have the house die... they're just so cute!

Day 7

This one took a little more time... I don't think I'll be making many of those flowers!

Again another list of don't haves.... but where there's a will there's a way!

OK....another list of what I don't have....reindeer die, tree embossing folder, tape, swirl stamp....

The list for santa is getting longer and longer!

Day 5
I didn't have the right die for this so I used an on the edge die and cut both edges.


I did have the numbers but no black paint dabber so I used black Stazon

Day 4.. no facets so I used thick acetate, the ink off technique didn't work so I cheated with a punched snowflake behind the acetate.

I didn't have a gazillion gems either so out came the stickles!

It seems I didn't have a lot of things!..........is this an excuse to go shopping?

Day 3!

Day 3.. catching up but very slowly!. I think I've included most things today. I didn't have any tissue tape so I used a strip of Mr Holtz's tape measure paper.

.. which I think makes a very fetching hat for George!

Tim's Tags Day 2

Here's George!........this hansome chap will be featuring on some if not most of Mr Tim's tags this year. I may use a little artistic licence but I think that's what it's all about... taking something and making it your own.

The bird is a Sizzlits die and it's cut from a used handcream tube. The sentiment stamp is Papermania.The little people are Zettiology.

A Great Weekend.......

and this is some of what we did.....the shrine is by Dusty Attic from 3djean

Painted white with acrylic paint, then coated with TH Picket Fence crackle paint.The city background is zetti as is the Ice Queen. another favourite stamp. She has a halo stamped onto acetate and gems added.

The inner frame is covered in glass glitter... 3djean

The box part is covered with Basic Grey paper.

There were seven of us........ and the end result was seven very different shrines.......

Sometimes......

... you just want to create something clean, plain and simple........ a bit like a crafting de-tox!

This stamp is from Suzi Blu available here is a nice clean crisp image and as most of you will know I don't do cute but these are just that little bit different.. a bit on the quirky side! and quite versatile too.

I inked and stamped..

Glued it to chip board, cut it out..

Covered an arch with K&Co.. again kept it plain and simple

Gave her some wings (thanks Mr Tim) added a daisy(Sizzix) and some text (Cosmo tiny type)

She's all set......... for this weeks outings to LTDO (Angels and fairies) and Gothic Arches (Daisies)
