I've Been....

..on a mission to find a mustard and black 'Art teacher' necklace but not found anything I liked. I found this necklace for £1 and decided to make my own. ( I bought two)

 I took it to bits, painted the edges black and covered the pieces with patterned papers.

and restrung the bits

Just need to find some outfits to go with them!

I love these images... I have a quilting project in mind... (I've had it in mind for at least 2 years!)

A little bit of...

... Frida..well that's what I think she looks like.. This months challenge over on the Crafty Individuals Blog is Fashion...I made some earring using this stamp. I stamped her onto shrink plastic and coloured her with pencil crayons, when shrunk I covered them with Diamond Glaze.

I cut a second scalloped piece of shrink plastic and coloured it turquoise

Glued them together and added some ear wires.

Charmed Part 2

A few more charms to add to the necklace...the clock face is shrink plastic, the 13 is just 4 layers of chipboard with a loop of florists wire ( I think this needs to be a little smaller). A dice with a loop added. and a small glass jar with an image.

I think the spoon is my favourite...it has a metal letter stuck in place with Matt Accents.

There's a mini light bulb with a soldered loop (from my sewing machine) below is a bobbin too

Trash or treasure? if you're like me you will have a stash of best bits that you don't want to use but just sit in their little boxes never seeing the light of day....so here's some of my stash.I'm working on a class for EfemeraInk and we'll be making jewellery. See the white plastic ruler at the top of the picture? (from the £ shop)

Well with a hacksaw and a few Promarkers you can make fabulous charms for your necklace or bracelet....or to put in a configuration box. The wooden charm is just a chunk of wooden ruler with a small charm glued on...

Hang on to all your broken bits of jewellery and odd buttons and recycle them.It's amazing what you can do with junk and a bit of Diamond Glaze.

There's a few different charms in the pipeline so I'll post them when they're done... along with the finished necklace.
