There's been progress........face number 2 is done. I'm still in the middle of collecting the right material for the fabric version..what an excuse to go stash shopping!
If anyone knows of any suitable fabric ranges then please let me know.

Aha! How is it possible that I totally missed the fact that these were not all fabric and not an actual quilt? Senility (and serious ADD when reading on the screen v. reading printed on paper) means I have operated under the misconception that you did actually make a quilt using this idea. But reading the most recent post, I am sort of thinking that maybe you WILL be doing it :) And I can see that the original stamp is tiny, as tiny as my grab bag ones.
{sigh} such a numpty...
