Surprise... I decided to share how to make a simple shrine....
This is a quick and easy method..I use thin chipboard.. Cut a piece 15x21cm, score 3cm from each edge.. score and cut out the corners.Cut a photo frame (I used a Die-Namics die)
Cut a piece 9x15 for the back
fold the sides, secure with bits of old book pages, cut an aperture the same size as the inside of the frame
cover the edges with strips of book pages.. this strengthens and hides the scored edges.
cover the inside of the back piece.. this will show through the aperture
Cover and decorate the front...I used bits from my bit box.Cover the top of the shrine... leave a little excess at the back ( this will be glued down onto the back when the back is attached.)Thread a large bead on a piece of florists wire.. poke through the top and bend flat under the top, glue a piece of paper over the wire.
Make up your image which will go inside, (I used an image from Deviant Scrap)
to get the image to stand away from the back I use a cut down cork on the back...it's light and you can cut it to any depth you like..
Cover the back with patterned paper.. leave some excess..
Place the back onto the shrine ..wrap this excess up over the sides and glue down.. see the spotty paper ..now glue down the top flap.
Cover the sides and base
to make the wheels cover two cotton reels, cover the fronts with stamped flowers
Glue to the base of the shrine...
...if you like this little bit of nonsense and would like to own it then leave a comment saying so and I'll pick someone at random at the end of the hop... now hop on over to see what Hellosister has to offer...
Happy Hopping
