It's a block a month for nine... yes nine months. It's all needle turned applique, I may lose the will to live but I just had the urge to stitch something nice, to do some proper stitching and the little bird motif helped, though I must say my first attempt at the small birds wasn't so sucessful.....they looked like bananas!
Month one's hand stitching is complete, it does get a little easier the more you practice, there's a few mistakes on this months but that's life..I'm going for the shabby look!
Wow! Good for you, your first quilt looks fab, and the second one is a great design too. Happy Stitching!
Definately a labour of love Effie, but the first one looks fantastic .... not 'shabby' at all !!
Looks pretty good to me - I wouldn't know where to start! Just think what a lovely creation you'll have in nine months!
Gail yur stitching is fabulous! It's a work of art so how can there be any 'mistakes' they are your own unique persona touches and you're making a family heirloom! Mary G x
Oh this is going to look beautiful when its finished, I really admire anyone who does this sort of work :-D x
Good for you Effie. It'll be worth it when completed and the first one looks lovely. I wouldn't have the patience.
